July's Arts in the Cards challenge was "jonquil", as in the color of jonquil. I couldn't get past the flower, one of my favorites, and made many attempts at cards that were my interpretations of the flower. They were all disasters. While going through my thermofax screens, I came across one of a little boy that I have used in many pieces. It struck me that he needed a name and I needed an idea for a an ATC card. So my little man became "John Quill" and stands in front of his house.
The background is hand dyed cotton, the house is a painted telephone page stamped with a house image, the roof is handmade paper and John was screened onto a painted baby wipe.
