Challenges keep me engaged in doing art when I'm in an art slump. Especially when they are about doing small pieces and don't have a lot of rules. I've joined an Artist Trading Card challenge/trade group and it's been really fun so far. November's theme was "Typography" and I was able to use transfers of a page of drawings showing how to form your mouth to make letter sounds. I had no idea when I made the transfers where I was going to use them, but there you go...time and place for everything!
Each month there is a different theme and there are up to 13 people participating in the trade. Outside of the size of the card (2.5 x 3.5 inches), there are no rules to follow.
